Profile Takedown Policy
When and how ProScore removes contractor profiles. Last updated April 1, 2026.
About ProScore Profiles
ProScore aggregates publicly available business information from 10+ verified sources to create contractor profiles across Ontario. Profiles are created from public data and serve the public interest by helping homeowners find trustworthy contractors.
Profiles are generally not removed upon request. However, we recognize certain circumstances warrant removal or modification.
Valid Grounds for Removal
We will consider profile removal in these cases:
- Business permanently closed — Dissolved corporation, surrendered license, or confirmed permanent closure. Provide government notice or Google “Permanently Closed” screenshot.
- Mistaken identity — Data from a different business incorrectly attributed to your profile. Provide business registration showing correct information.
- Legal order — Valid court order or regulatory directive from an Ontario or Canadian authority.
- Privacy concern — Personal residential address displayed for a sole proprietor. We can replace it with a business address.
- Fraud or impersonation — Profile created to impersonate your business. Provide evidence of the legitimate business.
Not Grounds for Removal
- Low trust score (scores reflect public data)
- Negative reviews — for ProScore-submitted reviews, contractors can flag for re-review from their portal. For Google reviews, contact Google directly.
- “I don’t want to be listed” (public business data is aggregated in the public interest)
- Disagreement with scoring methodology

- Subject line: “Profile Takedown Request — [Your Business Name]”
